Perfil de deterioro cognitivo en personas con esquizofrenia paranoide:Estudio breve en población peruana

Resumen

A esquizofrenia possui uma ampla carga de adoecimento, alteração social e funcional, e uma pobre resposta terapêutica. Seus efeitos se relacionam com desordens significativas nos processos cognitivos, no entanto, muitas vezes não são devidamente avaliadas nem possuem o acompanhamento adequado. Objetivos: Caracterizar o perfil de deterioração cognitiva de pessoas com esquizofrenia paranoide. Material e métodos: Foi comparado o perfil de sujeitos diagnosticados com esquizofrenia paranoide segundo o DSM-IV-TR, ao de sujeitos controles pareados por idade sexo, utilizando uma amostra não probabilística e intencional. Foi realizada a estatística Paramétrica (T de Student) e Não paramétrica (U de Mann Whitney), assim como a Análise de Regressão Linear e Correlação de Pearson. Resultados: Foram encontradas diferenças estatisticamente significativas entre os perfis cognitivos do grupo clínico e controle em distintos processos específicos (Orientação, Memória, Fluidez Verbal, Lenguaje, Habilidade visual-espacial). Conclusões: O ACE-R mostra uma confiabilidade adequada e sua utilização para a avaliação de processos cognitivos na esquizofrenia é de grande utilidade.
