Abstract

The main challenge of teaching is learning to think. The available empirical evidence shows the importance of a Culture of Thinking for promoting successful learning processes. It is essential for students to become aware of what they learn and how they learn it. For this purpose, this paper shows the results of a survey research carried out with university students (n = 218) in Early Childhood and Primary Education. The objective of this work is to identify students’ perceptions about the promotion of a Culture of Thinking in their initial training to become teachers. Students do not perceive a pedagogical intention in their learning process aimed at the promotion of a Culture of Thinking at University.
