Resumen

El objetivo de este trabajo es aportar una visión global de la obra de Carl Rogers y de su impacto en el panorama internacional y español de la Psicoterapia actual. Planteamos que la obra de Rogers y el concepto de empatía no han «entrado» realmente en España, que el conocimiento que aquí existe es superficial y anecdótico, comparado con el desarrollo e impacto internacional que tienen hoy. Para mostrarlo, se evalúa la presencia de la obra de Rogers en nuestro contexto geográfico, aplicando algunos índices de prevalencia utilizados en anteriores revisiones internacionales: a) publicaciones que existen sobre Rogers o su obra; b) organizaciones profesionales, Institutos de Formación y Revistas sobre «Terapia Centrada en el Cliente/ en la Persona». (TCC/TCP). La información obtenida evidencia la carencia que existe en España de una fuente de conocimientos, fundamental hoy, para la elaboración teórica, la investigación y el ejercicio aplicado de la Psicoterapia, como es la obra de Rogers.
