APPROACHES AND TECHNIQUES: To address these questions, we use a wide range of experimental approaches: from 2D/3D in vitro cultures (including organoids and iPSCs cultures) and in vivo animal models, to postmortem brain tissue and biological samples from patients with neurodegenerative diseases (in collaboration with clinicians). Our group employs state-on-the-art techniques such as molecular biology, lipidomic and transcriptomic analysis, chemogenetics, AAV-mediated gene expression, in vivo two-photon imaging, super-resolution and confocal microscopy, electrophysiology and behavioral tests.
