Abstract

Most academic literature on transitions comes from the global North and is adapted to its epistemological frameworks and socio-economic structures (uncritical technologistic visions of hegemonic capitalist rationality). This article aims to provide a vision from and for the South on how to understand ecosocial transitions linked to the SSE. Based on a systematization exercise of seven Social and Solidarity Economy (SSE) experiences in four Andean countries (Colombia, Ecuador, Peru and Bolivia) with the participation of academics and representatives of these experiences, this work identifies what the priorities and dimensions of social change should be, from the territories and concrete experiences. In order to collectively construct this vision, a double methodological exercise was carried out: first, questionnaires and textual analysis using Iramuteq software; second, a face-to-face meeting of collective co-construction. The objective is to identify and select the dimensions to be systematised when analysing ecosocial transitions, and to provide them an approach in accordance with the seven participating initiatives from the Andean region.
