Abstract

In order to face the new eco-social challenges, there are necessary innovative strategies that could be applied in sub-State spaces such as regions, counties, municipalities, etc. Based on the potential observed in the Social and Solidarity Economy contribute to overcome these challenges, this article aims to analyse how and in what measure the Social and Solidarity Economy has been introduced into regional development strategies in the Basque Country. Therefore, by analysing the perception, the relationships and the form of integration of the Social and Solidarity Economy in the Basque local development agencies, an image of the current reality is offered from the learnings, the debates and the reflections of the actors involved.
