Abstract
Participation of master graduates in Master Thesis is a way of improving research and an example for transfer between peers. Graduate students may help improving the quality of novel researchers’ research due to their recent experience in Master Thesis elaboration and their generational closeness. On the one side, they provide with additional tools that help new students begin their research, while, on the other hand, they improve their own competences with the peer mentoring task they carry out. This paper’s motivation originated in the good experience of a pilot talk, in which a graduate student shared introductory Master Thesis concepts with students about to start their Master Thesis. This paper takes a step further and aims to assess the potential contribution of the participation of graduate students in the Master Thesis elaboration by means of the preparation and processing of a survey answered by master students. Results show that master students welcome receiving support from graduate peers. However, this help should be correctly channeled in order to being effective.
