Abstract
In this paper two new processes have been studied for the transformation of syngas (a mixture of carbon monoxide and hydrogen) and carbon dioxide: 1) synthesis of gasoline over a bifunctional catalyst; 2) catalytic synthesis of dimethyl ether. The following aspects have been studied for these processes: ¾ Catalyst. Several bifunctional catalysts (Cr2O3-ZnO/HZSM-5 for gasoline synthesis; CuO-ZnO-Al2O3/γ-Al2O3 and CuO-ZnO-Al2O3/HZSM-5 for DME synthesis) have been prepared, following new methods of preparation, and characterized, for measuring the physical, chemical and acidic properties of the solid. ¾ Operating conditions: physical steps, temperature, pressure, composition of the feed and space time. All catalyst prepared show a good behavior in terms of activity, selectivity and yield of products.
