Abstract
This article is based on the article by Ruiz-Narezo, Santibañez and Agundez (2022), and seeks to approach the state of the issue of penitentiary institutions and the role that the educational figure plays in them, finding that Prison can be an educational space of opportunity in which to develop socio-educational intervention and thus generate real processes of social inclusion with people deprived of their liberty. It also delves into the figure of the prison educator and raises as a line of future, the incorporation into the usual technical team, finding that the acquisition of prison skills by the Basque Government can be an unparalleled opportunity.
