Resumen

Resumen: La diversidad cultural ha constituido históricamente un acicate para la evolución de la protección jurídica de las personas. A pesar de ello, la estatalidad ha constreñido y condicionado gravemente el desarrollo de los derechos en beneficio de los grupos mayoritarios o dominantes de cada país. La diversidad cultural sigue planteando hoy retos relevantes para los derechos humanos y su pretendida universalidad. En su estado actual de evolución, el Derecho solo puede responder a ellos de modo fragmentario e imperfecto, tanto en el plano internacional como en el ámbito doméstico.
