Abstract

The Venezuelan banking presents evidence of inefficiencies in the utilization of your resources in an environment of high profitability and of a low credit intermediation. Before this scene, the present study calculated the efficiency of the bank branches of the Universal Venezuelan banking in the year 2004 using the method Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA). Method chosen due to your practiced and suitability for this type of studies. One thinks under score of efficiency in the Venezuelan bank branches that it related to demographic elements, of size and of capital possession.
