Resumen
This article presents an integrated management model data, information and knowledge, within the environment communicable intelligent electronic devices (IEDs). The main function of these devices, installed on the networks of data of the companies of the electricity sector, is to protect the network elements that form the system of electric power supply. These devices provide field information that attached to the information in the internal databases of organizations and implicit knowledge of the expert analysts is critical to decision making. This paper proposes a model that integrates this information and facilitates management to achieve the objectives of the companies in the sector and improving the quality and security of electricity supply. Difficulties appear in the data management of temporal and spatial character in order to obtain useful information. The model provides for the exchange of information among the different agents involved in the system, encouraging the creation of new information and knowledge management in the organization.
