Abstract
The article explains, from the point of view of European citizenship, the implications of the adoption of the Transatlantic Trade and Investment Partnership between the European Union and the United States. In order to do this, it places the TTIP in the context of some other international agreements concluded by the EU, particularly the World Trade Organization and the recent EU-Canada Comprehensive Economic and Trade Agreement. The paper concludes that it represents a new important step in the consolidation and deepening of neoliberal globalization, a field in favor of transnational corporations at the expense of the social majority.
