Abstract

The objetive of this paper is to analyze the interpretations of undergraduate students of the University of Buenos Aires about the following issues: I) the difussion of corrupt practices in the argentine society; II) the consequences of corruption to the functioning of democracy; III) the respect of basic laws and civil and social rights, and IV) the future functioning of the democratic system. Data comes from a survey conducted during November 2002 among 316 students aged 18 to 36 years who were attending the schools of Pharmacy and Biochemistry, Medicine, Odontology, Engineering, Law and Economics.
