Abstract
This work describes an experience on the use of screencast videos to support the problem sessions of the subject Circuit Analysis of the Bachelors degree on Engineering in Telecommunications Technology. The objetives were to improve the academic progress of the problem sessions by promoting the student’s selfilearning and to improve the structure of the lectures by focusing on theoretical concepts and more practical examples. Video-lessons of simple exercises were created as reference material for the basic contents; access to the videoilessons was monitored; and both their impact on the learning process and their usefulness were evaluated by means of student polls. Use of the video-lessons decayed as the academic year advanced The video- lessons did not have a relevant impact on the student’s selfileaming. However, the corresponding polls revealecl that students were satisfied with these new resources.
