Resumen

Infrared emissivity is a thermophysical property of materials which deter-mines their capability to emit thermal radiation. Emissivity measurements are essential for calculating and minimizing thermal losses by radiation in many technological fields, such as solar energy and thermal storage. Accurate emissivity measurements performed with a singular equipment at the UPV/EHU are presented in the case of a eutectic ternary alloy (Mg-47%Zn-4%Al), which is a candidate for solar thermal-en-ergy storage systems.
