Abstract
This paper presents the results of an evaluation and preventive education exercise carried out with fifty families with two-year-old children. The families are evaluated by means of a home visit and interview, and then receive parenting guidelines which they are invited toput into practice in their daily lives. The results provide empirical data in support of the effectiveness of implementing a family-centred preventive education and evaluation strategy in the fields of education, health and social services.
