Resumen

Time-resolved laser-induced fluorescence of the A(0u +) state of natural tellurium dimers has been observed. Excitation to vibrational levels 5≤ν′≤10 has been carried out by scanning the wavelength of a Nd-Yag-pumped narrow-band dye laser from 503 to 520 nm. The radiative lifetime of the A state of Te2 (5≤ν′≤10) was determined to be 1080±60 ns. A collision cross section of σ=139±5 Å2 was obtained for deactivation of the A (0u +) state. © 1989.
