Résumé

Regulation (EU) 2024/1028 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 11 April 2024, on data collection and sharing relating to short-term accommodation rental services, which has recently entered into force, will establish harmonized obligations for the registration, collection and data communication of short-term accommodation rental services in the European Union, obligations that fall, in particular, on online platforms. This article studies the main aspects of the Regulation and analyses the registration systems for short-term rentals in force in Spain to conclude whether they are in accordance with the Regulation or not.
