Resumo

Today, migration has become a global crisis that is changing every corner of the world, and it can be said that the world is divided into two parts, the migrant and the host. For this reason, governments have been forced to adjust many of their micro and macro policies based on the quality and quantity of migration inside and outside the borders of their territories. In the dissertation has been tried to address the issue of open borders from a micro and macro perspective, in the sense that the EU border policy towards third countries, which exists in the framework of the Schengen Border Code, is examined with three different criteria to determine how and to what extent do EU border policies meet them. These three criteria are; care ethics, which represents the feminist caring approach, and immigration ethics, which is considered masculine justice-based ethics. Moreover, the Universal Declaration of Human Rights that is agreed upon by the European Union and is one of its pillars and objectives.
