Zusammenfassung

The objective of this article is to know the evolution of pediatric palliative care (PPC) and the role played by health social workers (HSW) within pediatric palliative care teams, w¡th minors. and their families. A bibliographic review of scientific articles consulted in the PUB MED, MEDLINE, SCOPUS and Dialnet databases and in the Journal of Social Work in End-oflife & Palliative Care, Health & social work, social work in health care has been carried out. A total of 805 documents were located, of which 771 were excluded and a total of 38 documents were selected for the bibliographic review. ln conclusion, even though pediatric palliative care is an emerging field, the figure of health social workers has had a place since its inception, because of the biopsychosocial needs that arise. Despite this, currently within the health system the presence of the health social worker is limited.
