En primer lugar, para la evaluación de la estructura factorial del “Cuestionario de victimización de ciberacoso revisado” se empleó análisis factorial confirmatorio. Los parámetros para el análisis factorial confirmatorio se estimaron utilizando las matrices policórica y de covarianza asintótica de los ítems del cuestionario. Se utilizó el método robusto Satorra-Bentler con LISREL 9.2 (Jöreskog y Sörbom, 2013) para probar el modelo. Se utilizaron la raíz cuadrada media de error de aproximación (RMSEA), el índice de ajuste comparativo (CFI) y el índice de ajuste no normativo (NNFI) para evaluar la bondad de ajuste del modelo. Según diversos autores (Hu y Bentler, 1999; Little, 2013) valores del CFI y NNFI mayores que 0,90 y valores del RMSEA menores que 0,06 reflejan un buen ajuste mientras que valores entre 0,06 y 0,08 reflejan un ajuste moderado. Para el cálculo de la consistencia interna se ha utilizado el alfa ordinal ya que se ha mostrado que estima con mayor precisión la fiabilidad alfa de Cronbach para escalas de respuesta ordinales al estar basado en la matriz de correlaciones policóricas (Zumbo, Gadermann y Zeisser, 2007).
