Resum

The paper presents the design of an original system for competence assessment using the Moodle grade book. The implementation of Competence Based Learning approach in Higher Education is requiring new assessment systems that are aligned with this new approach. Although a variety of technological applications for competence assessment there exist, some of which are analyzed in this paper, none of them gives whole response to the needs of complex competence assessment models, such as University of Deusto’s. This system can serve as a model for other universities that apply the competence based learning approach and use the Moodle e-learning platform.
