Resumo
One of the implementations of novel initiatives in the field of education that requires more efforts is the entire implementation of a new Bachelor’s degree based on dual training. These efforts involve on one hand the design of an extremely experimental degree and on the other hand, the engagement of local companies that must collaborate in a rigorous way with the teaching of the students, since they must give a number of lessons of specific subjects to the hosted students. In this paper, authors describe the implantation process of the Bachelor’s Degree in Automotive Engineering at the Faculty of Engineering Vitoria-Gasteiz of the University of the Basque Country (Spain). In the paper the accreditation process carried out in the Basque University System QualityAgency (UNIBASQ) is described, giving some ideas about the information provided for all the points that that were fulfilled to gain the “dual training” accreditation of the agency. This information could be used by other university faculties to be aware and to plan a dual version of any Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
