Resumo
In 2012 FAO published some new estimates on hunger in developing countries since 1990. The new data serie changes drastically the former view, and instead of an upward trend of the undernourished, their number shows a slight decline. That enables an easier achievement of the Millennium Development Goals, provided we consider compatible with the former an increased amount of undernourished people. Furthermore, this evidence casts doubts on the supposedly mere technical character of the statistical adjustment that was carried out.
