Resum

This communication is intended to present the preliminary results of the research we are conducting on the role of ethical principles and theories of social work in the decision processes of these social workers in the face of ethical dilemmas. To be more precise, we investigate what are the ethical theories that support argumentative processes of these social workers. For its preparation we have based on research conducted in 2006 by a team of Chilean teachers that took into account the investigation which in turn had taken place in Israel Osmo and Landau's colleagues on the same topic. Given our interest in the ethical dimension of social work and the importance that is gaining as a result of the complexity of social life, we decided to conduct the same study in order to compare results between the three countries and to advance knowledge of the current positions of moral confrontation of social workers. Work of this nature aim to illuminate the moral path that will guide our discipline in the present century.
