Resumo

To improve the vibroacoustic comfort of a coach it is necessary to know qualitatively and quantitatively the noise and vibration sources, as well as their transmission paths. With this purpose a procedure has been defined and applied for vibroacoustic characterization of a coach in different operating modes: idle, constant speed, acceleration and deceleration. Once the mains noise sources of the coach (engine, transmission group, tread and aerodynamics) has been identified, the airborne contribution to interior noise of the engine and transmission group has been evaluated. From these tests, it has been determined that the noise and vibrations perceived by the passenger below 500 Hz are exclusively due to structural transmission.
