Zusammenfassung
The American West, both as an ideal and as setting, has been shaped by stereotyped views on western expansion and classical images. However, in recent decades, the American West has held many revisionist approaches that have exposed this pervasive and traditional depiction of both the region and its history. We want to analyze the fascination with the American West beyond its own realms. This bond tells a lot about the shared history between the continents and, from a more contemporary perspective, it discloses the present-day natural elasticity and fluidity of cultural fabrication.
