Zusammenfassung
This article attempts to analyze the impact of energy on the competitiveness of the industry, also assessing other parameters such as productivity, labor cost per employee, unit labor costs and the level of innovation. The work also refers to companies ‘size. The goal is to answer the question how differences in energy prices affect the competitiveness of the energy intensive industries, analyzing the energy costs of some countries that can be considered as a reference like Germany, France, Czech Republic, Italy and the United Kingdom.
